Seagull on The Dumpster - Moving Image Installation + Poems + Essay

Gull on The Dumpster is a collaboration with ecocritic Mandy Bloomfield.  It is based around a series of re-writings of Modernists poems decomposed and recomposed through the figure of the gull.  They aim to imagine, embody and speculate about the life of this scavenger par excellence, boundary crosser between land and sea and icon of urban Anthropocene ecology. 

 In this work, the figure of the gull raises questions about the more-than-human lives among the toxic ruins of capitalism, their (in)visibility, ostracization, and eco-critical reconfigurations.
